Futures news, coffee. Price of Arabica keeps falling; as of 07.06.12 it amounted to $154.25 per bag. Two previous articles of the Analytic Team of Commodity Trading Department of introduced factors that cast major pressure on the price.
Besides, according to ICO, growth of coffee export is another factor that has similar impact. In comparison to last year, it has risen by12% during last 4 months and has generally risen during the period of October-April.
Despite problems in Columbia, Salvador, and Nicaragua, other exporters of Arabica have compensated for their supplies. This year total export of Arabica has risen by 470 ths. bags in comparison to last year.
Situation with Robusta is similar. Vietnam has put itself on record. Instead of 10.98 mln. bags of Robusta, it has supplied 13.55 mln., although surplus supply in other countries has generally amounted to 1.14 mln. bags.
